WE ARE LOOKING AT THE EFFECT OF DIET ON CHILDREN’S BEHAVIOUR

Parents of children aged 5-11.5 with behavioural problems can participate in the study.

THE STUDY

Parents and their child will be involved in various combinations of diet and behaviour management programs. This will be provided free of charge.

Behaviour management: This involves parents coming to 4-5 weekly group sessions at RMIT University Bundoora. There will also be two telephone sessions.

Diet: This part involves placing the child on an elimination diet for approximately 4-6 weeks. This will be supervised by a dietician.

Parents will complete questionnaires at different points in the study.

This research is being conducted as part of a PhD at RMIT University with the assistance of the Dr Kathy Rowe from the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne and Kyann Calvi, Accredited Dietitian.
