FOOD INTOLERANCE NETWORK FACTSHEET

Environmental

At some
stage this factsheet will present information on non-food factors which can
cause your symptoms to get better or worse, for those who know that diet is
working but there is further to go. But for now it will be used to collect
useful links for people to explore further for themselves.
If you don’t
feel ready for the information below, sort your diet out first.
December 2010 - Study maps chemical
residues in European children's diets: A 10-year-old child eating a balanced diet
may be exposed to as many as 128 chemical residues of 81 different substances
in a single day. Forty-two of these
substances are classified as "possibly or probably carcinogens", and
five as "certainly carcinogens". No fewer than 37 substances are
endocrine disruptors (ED). Food additives were also examined. http://esciencenews.com/sources/the.guardian.science/2010/12/28/study.maps.chemical.residues.european.childrens.diets
